Have you thought about trying a River Cruise??

So lot’s of you have probably tried Ocean cruising but have you tried a River cruise? River cruising is becoming more and more popular now with lots of different vessels and River cruise lines to choose from there is a great variety of choice to choose from as there is with Ocean cruising.

You might think it may not be for you, so i thought i would do this blog with some ideas as to why River cruising is so good and why it might suit you, read on to find out more…..

Small and friendly ships – The small ships makes it a more personal experience, the atmosphere on board is cosy and friendly. Generally the vessels can take between 100-200 passengers, so a lot less than the ocean liners.

Good Value – You might think some of the River cruises seem a little more expensive but when you realise what’s included you find what good value it is. Many of the cruise lines include drinks with Lunch and Dinner (some all drinks!) Some of the higher class lines like Viking and Avalon include all the excursions too visiting some amazing places.

Smooth sailing – No need to worry about sea sickness, sail across gentle waters with next to no motion felt.

Dock in the heart of the city – River cruise lines are as you know a lot smaller and tend to dock in the heart of each city where possible, this means fantastic views most of the time.

No need to fly – If you don’t like flying then a lot of the River cruises have the option of Euro star, coach or ferry even to get you to your embarkation port.

Destinations – There are lots of different places you can take a River cruise ,for example – The Nile in Egypt, The Danube, The Rhine, River Seine, Rhone, Moselle, Mekong, Yangtze, Douro plus lots more.

As you can see River cruising has an array of options, with small quiet ships travelling to amazing destinations!
