Thomson cruises have revealed that it’s much loved and longest serving ship the Spirit will remain with the line for an additional year, until November 2018, to offer a number of Summer 2018 sailings.
The vessel has been chartered to the operator by Celestyal cruises since May 2003, the 1254 passenger ship was originally built for Holland and America line in 1983, will now operate as Thomson Cruises until November 2018.
The Spirit was due to leave the fleet and re join Celestyal Cruises in November this year, but will now offer five different seven night sailings out of Palma and Malaga between April-October 2018, these will go on sale 27th July 2017 and will offer a complimentary All inclusive upgrade for a limited period. It will not be offering a Winter program as it has only been granted an extension for the Summer 2018 season.
Extending her service means that passengers will be able to visit the Western Med big city favorites such as Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon, as well as the lesser know ports like Tarragona, Mahon and Roses.
Guests here in the UK do really love the Spirit as she popular for being a small, homely ship with great service on board, she attracts a lot of repeat guests so i’m sure a lot of people will be thrilled to hear that they can now sail another year.
Have you cruised on the Thomson Spirit before? Do you think it’s right to extend for another year? If you’ve not been on the Spirit before, maybe now is a good time to give it a go!
