Now this is something i thought i wanted to share as it is so exciting! We will shortly be offering a new bucket list cruise for you all, it’s a 9 day expedition cruise around Longyerbyrn in the Arctic Circle, taking in Glaciers, Polar Bears and Fjords -wow!
It is sailing on the AURORA EXPEDITIONS – GREG MORTIMER, proudly named after Aurora’s adventurous co-founder, this 104-metre ship is our very first, purpose-built expedition vessel. Capable of negotiating the strongest winds and waves, the Greg Mortimer is built to world-class polar standards – designed in close consultation with our expedition specialists, taking advantage of our more than 25 years of experience. They specialise in cruises off the beaten track.
So this Bucket list cruise will be a 12 Night cruise taking in the following highlights plus more –
Oslo – Tall tales are made in Norway, where nature takes on epic proportions. Mountains of dizzying heights, fjords where Vikings once roamed and awe-inspiring northern lights are the perfect setting for making travel legends of your own. Channel your inner artist and allow us to sculpt your first impression of Oslo as we make our way through the inner city.
Polar Bears -Your chance to see the Kings of the ice! Polar bears live only in the Arctic, not in Antarctica. People often see illustrations of penguins and polar bears together, but this could never happen in the wild. Polar bears feed primarily on seals. The remains of these seals provide food for other Arctic wildlife. Polar bears are marine mammals, and spend much of their time on Arctic sea ice.
Now as this is not properly launched yet i cannot reveal much more detail, but if you think this would be something you’d like to do or would like more details on the itinerary or ship then get in touch.
