Silversea Introduce the Silver Moon!

I have been so fortunate to have experienced over 30 different ships from across nearly every cruise line and one of the questions I get asked is ‘What is the best cruise line’ and in the past quite a few people have said, well Regent Seven Seas are the most expensive so they must be the best! In response to that, I don’t think that paying a lot more gets you more from the experience however a couple of years ago I got the chance to get on the Silver Cloud, I was a little set that I wouldn’t like it being that she is such a small ship but I was so wrong, she is simply stunning. Although a small ship she was absolutely breath-taking.

The Silver Cloud has since been refitted and is now a Polar Class Ship and sailing the more extreme areas of the world.

Since then I have been on the Silver Whisper, she is the bigger and newer sister in the Silversea fleet.

Well recently you may have seen that they launched the new Silver Muse which has been extremely popular, since then they have excitingly announced the addition of the Silver Moon!!

She will be 40,700 Gross Tonnage and will have a Capacity of 596 guests in an all veranda suite ship.

When you look at the Adonia in the P&O Fleet which is 30,000 Gross Tons – she is 790 passengers.

The Silver Moon will be the Sister to the Silver Muse! It is rumoured that Silversea signed the contract with Fincantieri worth 310 Million Euros!

Silversea have said that the Silver Moon would be the same as the Silver Muse with a few differences, things that don’t work with on the Silver Muse wouldn’t be on the Silver Moon.

They have also said that due to the Popularity of the Silver Muse, it has left them with no option but to accept the option for another ship.

Silversea are ultra-luxury All Inclusive Ships and with the addition of this ship it will give the fleet 10 ships in total. The founder of Silversea had a dream of 12 ships and the Chairman of Silversea has said its clear to see that they have to reach that dream number – she without committing to anything upfront – we could see the addition of 2 ships in the not to distance future.
