Regal Princess – Take 2 on ITV!

Princess have announced that they will feature in a new six-part documentary that will be broadcasted in March on ITV. This comes less than a year after ‘The Cruise Ship’ which was based on the Royal Princess which is practically Identical to the Regal.

Which I personally think is a little bit of a mistake as she is the same as Royal, it would have been nice to have seen a different ship, Although I suppose this is on the life on board and the people rather than the ship, as we do have programs such as ‘Mighty Ships’ and ‘Mighty Cruise Ships’ which are on Quest which show you the ships.

However after taking to friends, colleagues, and even past passengers after Princess had the documentary on the Royal Princess, many said it painted the wrong picture on Cruising and in fact some people were put off by the concept, being someone who has cruised before I even though it summed up cruising quite poorly. It didn’t portray the Glitz and Glamour to cruising and the freedom it offers to guests wishing to take a cruise.

However we do know that Princess Cruises where not offer the moon with the documentary on Royal Princess, partly as they were told when signing the agreement that ITV would do the editing and Princess where just to allow the filming, so hopefully on take two of this on Regal, Princess will have more control and use this to get more people new to cruising – cruising.
