Grease and Eggs on Royal Caribbean!

Now the above statement doesn’t sound the most appealing, but it is some very good news.

Now I am very fussy with my eggs and I tend to always get the Free Range eggs and even sometimes Organic but this can make eggs very pricey. I can see both sides of the story here as it would have to take everyone to stop buying the cheaper caged hens eggs for supermarkets to stop selling them, and you would have a period where there is huge waste, and in a way it means that, the hens are going through a horrible time for nothing.

As much as they say they are improving the life of caged hens, they are never going to be as happy as free ranging hens. However when we are on holiday or in a restaurant we have no control over this atoll and to be honest I’d never really paid it that much attention but the following stateroom from Royal Caribbean made me think about it!

ALL Royal Caribbean ships will carry more cage-free egg than they have in the Past, Royal Caribbean have also announced they are committing to going 100% cage-free by 2022 which I think is amazing. Royal Caribbean also committed to sourcing all of its port from gestation free crates by the same year.

Now this has got me thinking, do we actually do enough sourcing when we are speaking to our waiter on board at dining times, would they know?! Does anyone know what they are eating?

Now on to my second point! Grease! Now this is nothing to do with Food, this is Grease Lightning. The world famous musical will hit the seven seas next July on board Independence of the Seas and the Harmony of the Seas, quiet strange to put the same show on two ships cruising similar areas and two ships which are going to be popular with the UK market. The show will be specially adapted for the ships, as you will know there are limitations on board, but will feature some of the most popular songs such as Summer Nights, Grease Lightnin and Look at Me, Im Sandra Dee.

However would you want to do both the Independence of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas if you where aware that the show would be the same on both ships? I think my favourite Broadway show would have to be Mamma Mia, but if you could pick one what yours be?
