I’m Going On Oasis Of The Seas!

I was sat in the office this afternoon wondering what to write about this evening, I suppose I had writers block, not something I ever thought I would have in my job selling cruises.

But to my delight, I received a very exciting email from the big bosses at the Cruise.co.uk. We all know that Oasis of the Seas is doing a few shorter cruises before she reads to Rotterdam for a major refit from the 30th September to the 14th October, other than a few bits and pieces we are not really sure what she is going to have done but we do know that the Main dining room will be removed and replaced with the Dynamic Dining experience which is what we will find on the new Quantum Class.

Also Hairspray will be taken of and replaced with the famous Broadway show ‘Cats’.

Oasis of the Seas joined the Royal Caribbean fleet in 2009, at a cost of $1.4 billion on of the most expensive ships in the world, but not only this at the time the largest ship in the world weighing in at 225,000 gross tons. She is currently the 2nd largest to her sister the Allure of the Seas which is 2 meters longer.

Anyway, we here at Cruise.co.uk work very closely with Royal Caribbean so us and a few selected agents have been invited on board to experience the Oasis of the Seas and become the most experience agency in the UK selling the Oasis Class. Royal Caribbean also have 2 more Oasis Class ships on order.

So on the 15th October I will head to the City Cruise terminal in Southampton to board her around 10:30 where we will be treated to lunch before starting our mission.

What’s the Mission?

‘Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to experience amazing innovations, complete on board challenges, enjoy superb entertainment and taste delectable dining all whilst competing against other teams in the industry. ‘

After a busy afternoon on board, we will be treated to a slap up evening meal, again fully experiencing the full WOW experience Royal Caribbean give before leaving the ship around 9pm and she will then sail back to the States at ar0und midnight.

Have you been on the Oasis or even the Allure of the Seas? I would love to hear what you think is worthwhile to see whilst on board?
