The Big Reveal

I have a bit of a secret. We’re going on holiday in a few weeks to Florida to do all the Disney ‘stuff’ as well as Universal Studios.

But we haven’t told the children yet. We’re planning on telling them 3 days before we go with a big reveal. But we need ideas! Help us out!

We’re thinking a treasure hunt kind of thing with clues (but not too obvious ones) along the way and then I’ve ordered this for the final reveal.

The plan is to have him in the nursery holding the tickets (no idea how I get a balloon to hold a ticket but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it!) He’s about 5ft high.

We’ve also bought them all Harry Potter T-shirts to wear on the day we go to Universal so are planning on using those as one of the clues but we need more ideas!

We’re spending 2 nights at a Universal hotel (did you know it’s cheaper to book a stay at one of the Universal hotels and get the Express Passes included free than it is to just buy the Express Passes on their own? Little fact for you there……) before heading to a villa for 14 nights. From there we’ll do Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and probably a water park as well as spending a day at one of the shopping malls (solely so that we can go to the Cheesecake Factory restaurant!)

We also have tickets booked for ‘Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party’  for one of the evenings where we’ve been told, we’ll come away with enough candy to fill a suitcase!  I don’t like candy but I’m sure the children (and Dave) will find somewhere for it.

Have you ever planned a surprise holiday for someone? How did you reveal? I think I’m more excited than they will be! We plan to film it so will upload when it’s done 🙂
