River cruising has traditionally been more popular with an older generation but this looks set to change with the introduction of a river cruise product for age 21-45 year olds.
Uniworld have designed a ship to cater for this gap in the market and while some might not agree I think it is an excellent idea.
If you aren’t aware of their product Uniworld are a luxury cruise brand so we aren’t talking club 18-30’s here with foam parties and bar crawls
What they will offer is an upmarket cruise experience on a ship that is designed to suit a younger age group. There is likely to be a gymnasium which not all river cruise ships offer, a spa and rooftop yoga.
They will also introduce more fun activities such as a silent disco and cocktail making classes.
Silent disco’s are very popular and was enjoyed by people of all ages on my last ocean cruise so I think this will be a huge success as won’t be noisy and disturb the peace for those that don’t want to take part.
My kids loved it !!
The food will be amazing as always but rather than being on a full board basis there will be 2 meals included per day to give the option to dine out in the local areas and maximise the experience of the destinations visited.
There will be a choice of itineraries including the Rhine, Danube and the Seine.
I was lucky enough to stay overnight on the Antoinette which is a Uniworld ship and it was stunning. The ship is so beautiful and the food and service was amazing.
I would like to say I would try this but I only have a year left before I am considered too old so I will have to stick with the traditional options.
What do you think , would it interest you ?
