I have recently spent a lovely day on the Oceania Nautica at Southampton. My day was spent taking a tour around the ship, a presentation about what customers can expect from Oceania cruises and an amazing 5 course lunch in the main restaurant tasting dishes from the various restaurants on-board.
Upon embarking the ship you could tell this is very different from the mainstream cruise-lines. Oceania places itself in the luxury band of cruise-lines which offers and intimate and elegant feel while still offering its customers plenty of choice of amenities with a beautiful pool area, library, spa, deck games, a card room and a casino on-board. There are also many venues for dining which, unlike many cruise-lines are all included within the price so as long as you make a reservation guests can sample different nightly dining experiences. If they want to dine in a more casual manner then there is also a buffet restaurant.
The beauty of these ships is that as they are smaller they can fit into some boutique style ports so your cruise itinerary can be more varied to the normal stops which bigger cruise-lines make. They also boast that you will never get a crowd or have to wait in line to get off and on in ports. You will experience more space than the standard cruise line as there is a much lower guest per square metre ratio than many cruise lines. We sampled some of Oceania’s attentive customer service and with ratios of about 1 staff member to 1.5 guests they really can offer amazing service!
Oceania boast the ‘finest cuisine at sea’ and I am not in a position to argue there. I have never tasted anything as nice as the Beef tenderloin I had for lunch and the caramel and passionfruit lava pudding was pretty special too! Entertainment in the evening includes musicians and shows and there are several different bars for a drink in the evening or why not just relax on your spacious balcony?
All in all this is a beautiful ship and one I would definitely recommend to customers wanted a more luxurious cruising experience! Please give me a call on 03333002638 and I’d be happy to help with any Oceania cruise enquiries you have.
