MSC misconceptions answered

Ok let’s get these MSC misconceptions put to bed once and for all. Yes MSC is a Mediterranean cruise line and yes there will be multinational passengers on board however this will be the same with Royal Caribbean or NCL sailing out of Venice or Barcelona.

Is everything in Italian ? NO. The first language on board is Italian however all the signs around the ship and In the restaurants are In English.

Are all the announcements in Italian and are they in 5 different languages? Yes, however the only multi language announcements I heard whilst on board Preziosa were safety announcements which are mandatory and they need to be said. I flew British Airways to Venice and even they had foreign announcements, and we don’t judge them do we !

Is all the food cold? NO, the range of food was exceptional and if it says ‘chilled leek soup’ on the menu, don’t be surprised when it is delivered to you and there’s no steam coming off it, the word ‘chilled ‘sort of gives it away! In the Golden Lobster main dining room you have an alternative menu too so if you want hot food look at that menu.

The ship is fantastic and clean, bordering on 5 star, crew were helpful and friendly. So what’s not to like ? To be honest nothing I had a great few days on board and would gladly cruise with MSC again.
