Our Little Pooches Mean The World To Us !

As most of my passengers know I have a boxer who is called Looney, he is my baby and means the world to me. I have had him since he was 26 weeks old, but he is a bit of an old chap these days he is actually 13yrs old which is quite unusual for a boxer, they normally only age to about 10yrs old, so he is doing well.

Over the last 6 months he has been suffering with abscesses. Last October he ended up having 4 teeth taking out, the vets were quite reluctant to do at his age, but I found a dental specialist called David Crossley who is based in Chorlton- Cum – Hardy,  in Manchester. I will have to say hands down he was absolutely fantastic, he is so calming and explains everything to you step by step, he was just brilliant.

Then In the November 2014, Looney was diagnosed with Kidney problems, which has to be controlled by diet and lots of water.

After everything he had been through would you believe last Thursday his poor little face had swollen up really badly again, so I took him to the vets immediately, to be told he had another tooth abscess. The only problem this time was that with his age and kidney problems it could be fatal for them to operate on him, so I called David Crossley again who advised me that he would see him and as long as Looney was fit enough he would extract the tooth, this time making sure he was on kidney dialysis all the way through the operation.

My Little baby

Well at 11.15am yesterday I dropped Looney off at the vets, I walked out in tears, feeling heartbroken. After feeling very anxious most of the day, I received a phone call at 2pm from David to tell me all went well and Looney was still on the drip to support his kidneys but I can pick him up at 5pm.

The good news is I picked him up at 5pm, he was still a tad drowsy and because he has arthritis his poor little back legs kept on going on him, he was feeling very sorry for himself but who wouldn’t if you had been put through such an ordeal at his age, he is a strong little man and he is doing really well.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to David Crossley, you do such fantastic work I really appreciate what you have done for my baby.

If anyone is looking for a dental specialist for your little pooch, please let me know and I will pass on his details to you. His practise is in Chorlton, Manchester, but he comes out to your vets and does the work there.

Our little pooches mean the world to us and we only want the best looking after them in the time of need.
