Royal Caribbean Goes Techno Crazy.

Royal Caribbean have only pushed the boundaries again- with only 99days till Quantum Of The Seas is due to be launched, they have announced that she is going to be the 1^st ever ship that will have the smartest technology you have ever experienced on a cruise. Let’s have a nosy at one of her WOW features that you will be able to do/experience on this fabulous ship that you could never do on a cruise ship until now.

A day in the life of Smart Connect – RCCL has teamed up with a company called 03b Networks. This is a satellite beam that connects to the ship where ever she is and has faster internet speeds, just like you are used to at home. You can now be online 24/7, no matter what personal device you take on-board. You will be able to Tweet, Skype family and friends, Stream movies, and even play Xbox Live with gamers worldwide.  No more sluggish connections.

What could you do on board if you had speedy Wi-Fi :

8am –  Log on and check Facebook, Twitter, and keep everyone updated to what you are doing and where you are.

10am –  Skype families and friends at home or even email them.

11am –  Take pictures of places you are travelling to, down load and share them with family and friends.

12noon – You can even upload on YouTube a live action video of you on the Flo Rider/ RipCord- live.

1pm  Whilst your sunbathing and chilling in the sun, how about Stream a movie or even down load your favourite music.

4pm –  The kids (ok maybe adults to) can be playing Xbox live.

5pm –  Whilst you’re working out in the gym you can be listening to Sportify.

6pm –  You can even work from the ship if you really needed to.

The amount of things you will be able to access is going to be amazing, my only concern is – with all these apps what charges are you going to incur, I know Royal Caribbean are saying it is going to be cheaper but if you are online all the time I’m sure it will end up costing a small fortune when you get home.
