An Event NOT To Be Missed, Cunard 175th Anniversary.

Wow, the last couple of days has been crazy, Cunard’s launched there sailings yesterday for 2015 to celebrate the 175th Anniversary. They have some remarkable anniversary cruises to offer with some very exciting forthcoming events.

In total there are 5 special cruises which are going to be available. To start their historic celebrations. All Three Queens will meet in Southampton on the 03rd May 2015, in a magnificent end to their world voyages. This will be followed by all three Cunard ships together at their spiritual home of Liverpool on 25th  May 2015 – would you believe for the first time ever the entire fleet has been on the River Mersey. Liverpool is Cunard’s birthplace and was home to Cunard’s Head Office from 1839 to 1967 – The three ships will be close to the famous Cunard Building on the Pierhead which remains one of the most significant buildings in the city and part of a World Heritage site –this is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime event that will make maritime history. This date is already in my diary, I live in Manchester which is not too far from Liverpool and it will be an event I defiantly won’t be missing, It will be spectacular.
On the 7th May 2015  the Queen Victoria will call at Cobh to commemorate the sinking of the Lusitania and at the same time tribute will be paid to the 22 ships, and Cunard men, that were lost in the War.

The Queen Mary 2 will be recreating the very first transatlantic crossing. She will leave Liverpool on 4th July – 175 years to the day that Britannia began her journey and will follow in her wake. After a westbound crossing, Halifax and then Boston just as they did 175 years ago.

Bookingsfor Diamond and Platinum members went on sale yesterday at 1pm, then on general sale on the 13th March 2014.
If you would like to be part of these spectacular events you will need to be quick.
