I’m going to be on the radio.

Last night I was interviewed by BBC Hereford and Worcester as part of a feature on the Olympic Legacy.

I have always been interested in sport and have written in the past about my Zumba class and running the Birningham Half Marathon but in the last year I have also taken up gymnastics again.

My son is a member of Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club and it is over 20 years since I last walked along a beam but when the head coach invited me to join an adults class I jumped at the chance. It is great fun and a fantastic work out, gymnastics uses all of the muscles and really tones you up.

London 2012 saw the most successful year ever in British Gymnastics with the mens team winning the Bronze Medal and 3 gymnasts winning individual medals and in the last year Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club has seen a huge growth in numbers and increased membership from boys. They have introduced the Freestyle class too to encourage older children and adults to continue with the sport, and the interview was based around this legacy and why I have chosen to do gymnastics.

The interview is being broadcast this Friday morning between 7am and 9am on the Breakfast Show, BBC Hereford and Worcester.
