Early to bed for river cruisers? I don’t think so!

I have always been lead to believe that river cruisers go to bed early and the reasons for this are varied – early starts, long days on shore, older passengers, and the all time classic – Americans don’t stay up after 9.30pm!
Well, let me dispel the myth here and now – there IS life after dinner on Amawaterways! And passengers from all around the world are present, even the Americans.

An excellent selection of entertainment can be found in the lounge, including quizes, vocalists, excellent local musicians and themed nights. On our cruise the themed night was ’60’s – 1960’s, not pensioners! I would say that the majority of passengers participated, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, although I’m not entirely sure where Lady Gaga fits into a ’60’s night.

Staff and passengers all joined in and great fun was had by all, even a group of Chinese people, who notoriously keep themselves to themselves. The lady in the white glasses informed me that she was, and I quote “Velly happy dancing!”
