Shearings – The Battle cruise Collection 2014

2014 sees several wartime anniversaries, the 75th anniversary of the start of World War II and 100 years since the outbreak of World War I along with the anniversaries of other notable events.
To mark these occasions Shearing have organised three special Battlefield Cruises, sailing on their premium ship the mps Rotterdam. On each of these cruises you will be escorted by a Battlefield expert who will delve into the fascinating background of the battlefields you visit.

Each battlefield cruise will also include a visit to Flanders field Museum which tell the history of both World Wars and this includes entry into the National Liberation Museum and Airborne Museum.
These special cruises are available as follows:

Battlefields of World War I and II – 13th and 22nd April 2014 (includes the museum visits as above)
Battlefields Remembered – 1st and 8th November 2014 (includes visit to Ypres, Menin Gate and the last post)
Battlefields commemorative Cruise – 27th May, 3rd June, 22nd and 29th July (includes visit to Ypres with the last post at Menin Gate).
