New Member Of The Team

So, this week we have a new member of the team here at cruise.co.uk as me and my husband have adopted a rescue dog called Dexter into our family this week. He came to us called Milo, but we decided that Dexter suits him so much better.  I mean look at that face!

Dexter is a seven month old Border Collie crossed with what we believe to be either and Akita or a Husky and for 7 months is already pretty big.  Actually, he’s much bigger than we had planned to get when looking for a dog as we originally wanted something like a King Charles Spaniel, so not a lot of difference there!

I have wanted a dog for a long time, we have just been waiting for the right one to come along, and when we saw him on a local rescue charity’s Facebook page I knew we had to have him.  He did look a lot smaller on the picture mind you, and we were a little taken back when we saw him.  Initially when enquiring we were told that he was a Border Collie crossed with a Labrador, which is definitely not the case.

We believe he has come from a home where he hasn’t really been walked much as he had no lead walking skills (which is already changing and improving) and he came back from a 20 min walk and you would think he had just ran the marathon with Moe Farrah.  Which when you consider the two breeds that his is crossed with are strong working dogs, its actually quite shocking.

So far, he’s been settling in extremely well and is already spoilt rotten by both of us, but already I won’t be apart from him.  I’m not sure who’s going to miss who more when I go on The Celebrity Eclipse next week with a few of my colleagues.

As they say, it really is puppy love.
