Fact Or Fiction – It’s over To You
I have worked in the travel industry for more years now than I care to remember. Over the years I think I have been asked nearly all the questions customers have about holidays in general, but since I now mainly deal with cruising I am still amazed that people have the same misconceptions about cruising they did when I first started in travel.
I think the main one I still hear is ” no, cruising’s not for me, it’s boring and full of old people ” – How wrong can they be? Sure, there are cruise ships that are more suitable to the older generation but ask any of our young at heart customers and I don’t think you would hear them say that they are bored – what with the spa, hot tubs, golf nets, gaming tables, gyms and dancing classes to name just a few I think you will find that you won’t have a spare minute – unless you want to find some peace and quiet that is.
Just have a quick look on our website and see some of the fantastic facilities available on the new ships that have come into service – water parks, cooking classes, wave riders, zip wires, interactive maps, different neighbourhoods to enjoy – too many things to list here.
Ships are modern and designed for all tastes.
I wonder how many times I have been told that cruising is too expensive – Yes, perhaps years ago – when I was younger cruising was for the rich and famous, or so it seemed, but these days with planning early and choosing the right itinerary then you can get a cruise within your budget. Cruising has had to compete with the 2 weeks in Turkey all inclusive holiday, so it came up with all inclusive cruising, great for families and groups, but if that’s not your thing then usually there are fares on offer that include everything apart from your drinks
You really have to speak to an expert to make sure you are getting the right cruise for you – so don’t worry about these myths – ask us the questions and hopefully we can put your mind at rest and find you the cruise you deserve.
