Do you have a bucket list? If so, what’s on it?
Until a few years ago I don’t think I had ever heard this term, had you? I think my first recollection was when I watched a film starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman about two characters that fate brings together in a hospital room and they discuss the things they want to do before they die.
There are loads of thing that you can have on your list – it does necessarily have to be about holidays, but I think the majority of us have a real desire to travel and see new places and enjoy exciting adventures.
I suppose it’s an advertisers dream – they can make anything sound exciting enough to be on a bucket list, so I thinks that’s one of the reason why you see lots of holidays and experiences mentioning a bucket list – don’t you?
So, where do I want to go? Well, after having spoken to lots of my returning customers who have been to South America this year, this destination has definitely moved to the top of my list.
Without exception they have all told me about what an exciting and different place this is to visit. Yes, there are problems in Rio but these days what city doesn’t have problems? and if you take precautions and make sure you don’t do things to endanger your life then you should not have any issues. Who wouldn’t want to sunbathe on the famous Copacabana Beach and visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and what about the Rio Carnival, it must be a great time to visit the city when that’s on!
Once you have enjoyed the fun and frolics in Rio, why not fly to Iguazu and see the magnificient falls, you can view them from both the Brazilian and Argentinian side, the latter has just been recently named as one of the Seven Wonders!
Next stop Argentina – practice your best tango steps and enjoy all that this city has to offer before embarking on your cruise around South America, cruise around Cape Horn like those intrepid explorers did centuries ago, make friends with the Penguins that have made their home in Stanley on the Falkland Islands. There is so much to see and do!
Then after all this and because it’s your Bucket List – next stop Peru to visit Machu Picchu, land of The Incas – how fantastic would that be?
If this has whetted your appetite and you want more information, please call me on 0800 4086156 – we can start ticking things off your Bucket List too!!
