Call Me A Celebrity – a massive fan that is!
I have just returned from a two night short break on Celebrity Silhouette from Southampton to Le Havre.
The weather was terrible but the ship managed to let us forget the rain clouds and cold winds.
Where shall I start?
We boarded the ship a bit damp and bedraggled but the warm smile from the waiter and complimentary glass of champagne certainly helped to brighten our moods..
Our cabin was ready so we made our way to deck 9 and were so pleased with what we found – ample wardrobe space, drawers, an cupboards over the bed – great idea, ample size balcony and best of all tea and coffee making facilities.
Once settled we decided to explore the ship a little. What better place to start but at the top and The Lawn Club, now Celebrity boast that they have the only lawns at sea and what a great idea – I mean, I had to use my imagination as it was pouring but I can certainly see how in better weather this area is fantastic for picnics, watching tennis, having a go at some bowling and enjoying a glass of Prosecco, there are even little wooden fenced private areas that you can hire, definitely worth it for a different experience.
We moved then to the pool areas and what a bonus to see that they are heated, so our soggy British weather didn’t stop any one from enjoying a swim or a experiencing one of the many hot tubs and even if the outside pool area was a bit wet to sit out in, no problem, the inside pool area has lots of wooden, comfortable sun loungers to enjoy and the whole area has a very airy and bright feel as it is surrounded in glass.
There is so much more to tell you about this lovely ship, which i will tell you all about later. I hope that my pictures help to give you some idea of the cabin etc.
If you do want to speak to me about this ship please call or message me.
