Around The World in 180 Days – how fantastic does that sound to you? Just take in some of these facts – you never know when you the question will be asked about this at the pub quiz.
As you would expect on a world cruise itinerary you get to visit 4 continents, 38 countries, 24 Islands and 95 ports!
I love the fact you will cross 27 time zones – who knew there are so many? Sail 44090 nautical miles, cruise 18 seas and cross the equator 4 times! Phew, sounds very tiring.
This is the news from Oceania cruises regarding their world cruise on Insignia for 2020 – Imagine boarding in Miami on 8th January 2020 and disembarking in San Francisco in July. Yes, we all know that this isn’t going to be a £599 deal – but why should it – this is luxury and for most a once in a life time experience, they do help out though, free internet plus 70 free Shore Excursions or a free beverage package or up to 7000 US$ on board credit.
Insignia is a fantastic charming ship, she has recently undergone a multi million pound refurbishment, imagine teak decks and luxurious furnishings.
What about the food?
To begin with Oceania have open dining so there is no need to to choose your time before you go. But what choices of dining you have! The Polo Grill – all the elements of a steakhouse but so much more – grilled swordfish, Maine Lobster – Yum Yum. Toscana – an amazing Italian experience, custom designed Versace china. Obviously, if you are cruising with them for the full cruise eating like this every day will probably end up with some serious health issues – make sure you have the best travel insurance! So they do have other alternatives – Waves Grill, Terrace cafe for something a little simpler.
So make sure that any clothes that are a little snug are worn at the beginning of the cruise not at the end!
If you don’t have 6 months leave from work then you can just purchase sectors – so if you want to treat yourself give me a call and I will see what I can do.
