Well I have heard it all now, paying to reserve your sun loungers before you go on holiday!
Thomas Cook have just revalued the new plan this week that at a handful hotels they will trial this new scheme! Question is will this work and will others follow suit only time will tell, hey if it stops me having to get up at the crack of dawn on holiday to fight everyone for a good spot then count me in,
This new trial comes into effect next month starting with 3 Hotels and the charge starts from 25 Euros per sunbed, it guarantees you to have the same sunbed throughout your holiday, it works well they will roll it out across 30 properties in the summer,
I think it will be either a huge success or a complete disaster would love to trial and see the reaction of someone trying to sit in a bed pre-paid, fireworks maybe, how this is going to be policed is yet to remain under wraps
Clients will be emailed a map of the pool and available beds with various prices on 6 days before they travel, and can then choose the best position for them and family, this will remain yours for the full duration,
If it works the maybe other tour operators and Cruise lines will follow the same ways,
What are your thoughts good or bad idea?
