I am sure you have all the seen the latest news that P&O have decided to offer a drinks package on board, this is something new to them and they are only running this as a trial, so do you think it will work, is it value for money?
Well a few things first what is the cost of the package?
P&O will charge £39.95 per person per day for this All-Inclusive package my first thought was it was expensive for a British ship if you look at the likes of Fred Olsen and Thomson what they charge for a drinks package, I have always found the drinks quite reasonable on board but this price buts them in the bracket with the likes of Royal and other US ships that offer the packages,
They will trial this for 1 month only on Azura from the 21 July 2018 to see how and if it will work, and if successful maybe will roll it out on all ships soon who knows, this package can only be pre-booked once onboard and must be taking out by the end of day 2,
So, paying your £39.95 each day what it gets you
It also does come with some restrictions
Every adult in the sae cabin as to take one, and like most lines you are not allowed to share a package
This is only available on cruises of 5 nights or more
You are also limited to 15 drinks a day in a 24-hour period so from 6am-6am
Only one drink at a time may be purchased also a minimum wait between orders of 15 mins
Over 18 years of age <21 in US waters>
All bottle and cans will be served to you open
One of the good things about the package is the children get the drinks included with the package which is very good, what do we all think of this? good value for money?
Will be good to hear the feedback once the trial has finished
