With this Year flying by so quickly and what a year it has been for the cruise industry, with lots of updates on new ships being announced from cruise lines all over the globe.
One of the most anticipated is that of Royal Caribbean’s latest addition to the Oasis Class Fleet.. Symphony of the seas.
I have always admired the innovation that goes into the ships and Symphony is no exception! Whilst Royal Caribbean have been teasing us with the details of what new and exciting features will be on board I’m really excited to see what other tricks they have up their sleeves at the Innovation Lab in Miami.
A record held by her sister ship, Harmony of the seas, Symphony will take the crown of World’s Largest Cruise Ship and will hold 6360 passengers whilst maintaining some of the fantastic facilities on Harmony such as the Zip Line, Award winning Aqua Theatre, Bionic Bar & The Abyss (a 10 deck slide and best of all you don’t have to get wet!)
It’s all change from the minute you arrive into the port for check-in, the embarkation process is said to eliminate lines and get you on board and to the fun and that is all by taking a selfie?! Yes the new process will use Facial recognition via a pre downloaded app that you manage from home before you go.
Brand new for Symphony will be the introduction of the 2 level ultimate family suite, Imagine hopping out of bed in your kids only bedroom and Zooming down a level on your own in Suite Slide where there is a Floor to Ceiling Lego Wall, 3D Cinema Room with Popcorn Maker, pool table and not forgetting the grown-ups Whirlpool tub on the Wraparound balcony – With all these amazing features you may not ever want to leave your cabin…
If you do venture out of your cabin why not try Puzzle Break.. A race against the clock to solve the clues in the Submarine-themed room to escape! Ive been to a room escape here in the UK and they are so much fun and I would definitely recommend giving it a go
There will also be new Restaurants on Board and the sugar beach sweet and premium ice-cream parlour with your choice toppings which will host workshops and family friendly activities.. Yum!
So much to get excited about onboard and we are sure to see more announcements before long
Symphony of the Seas will debut on 31st March for a ‘dress rehearsal’ 5 Night sailing from Barcelona.
For all of the updates on new features added
I think I will definitely put Symphony on my ‘ To Cruise’ list. Will she be on yours? Let me know what you think of the new ship and if you have cruised with Royal before what your opinion is on their 25th addition to the fleet?
