Royal Caribbean, Here We Come!

So some time ago, I mentioned that myself and my husband Jamie (Who also works with me at cruise.co) are due to board the new and revamped Royal Caribbean Independence of the seas. For me this time I am even more excited than normal, as this time, we have family joining us on the sailing and they are completely new to cruising.

As myself and Jamie have sailed on many ships and itineraries before we of course know how amazing cruising is however for our family members they do not know what to expect! So we have all been planning what we are looking forward to the most and we honestly can not decide on any one thing.

We are so excited to see the new additions that Royal Caribbean have added to this already incredible ship.

So what are these new and exciting extras you ask?

Fish & Ships – Why not treat yourself to a cheeky little meal and this Restaurant, just a few steps away from Splashaway Bay water park

Playmakers sports Bar & Arcade – Catch up on some sports, whilst sipping on a Beer and Burger or a game in the Arcade.

Sugar Beach candy and Ice cream store – Love this new addition, filled with your favourite sweets and confectionery, along with a creamy homemade ice cream. What more could you ask for.

Splashaway Bay –  Fun at the all-new, bigger and better aqua park.

Izumi – If you are a fan of Teppanyaki then DON’T MISS OUT on this exotic Asian-inspired dining where chefs cook tableside on real Teppanyaki. What a wonderful way to dine and really immerse yourself in such a different experience.

Laser Tag – I can not wait for this new addition. I have been to a Laser Tag before but never whilst onboard a floating island at sea. How many people can say they have done this before.

Escape Room –  If I am being honest, I have never been the best at solving riddles & puzzles before, however I am really looking forward to giving this new addition a go. What a great idea to add onboard.

Water Slides – I think that being such a popular ship with family’s, this is going to be one of the best additions to the Independence of the seas.

All in all, I honestly can not wait to see to board this incredible ship, she was one of my favourite ships before her revamp and I am sure she will only but exceed my expectations.
