Iceberg Right Ahead!

I’m a 90’s girl and I love cruising, I’m also a sucker for a good old fashioned love story so It wont surprise you to know I am a huge fan of the Movie Titanic. In truth I think it was one of the finest Love Stories ever told by a motion picture.

The thing is,  I am not alone. So many of us have been captivated by the tragedy and splendor of the infamous White Star cruise line than famously sank over 107 years ago one faithful night back in a cold April Atlantic crossing on her maiden voyage.

So much so that a wealthy Australian commissioned the launch of Titanic 2 an almost exact replica of the famous vessel this project is not without its on financial difficulties but I genuinely believe in the new future we will get to experience what life was like back in 1912 on the Titanic.

It has been suggested the cruise will sell first second and third class tickets there will be an almost exact replica of that famous staircase as featured in the 1997 Hollywood smash, sadly there is little chance of meeting our Jack or Rose on board.

The maiden voyage was set to transport customers from China to Dubai however that was originally earmarked for 2016 and was put back to 2018.

What do you think? Will this ship ever set sail?

What would you be willing to pay for the experience and do you like the idea of stepping back in time and giving up some of the modern creature comforts we have become accustomed to for a trip down memory lane?

It has been said that the costume and props department on board will be busy as they will rent traditional Victorian/Edwardian clothing for formal nights. sounds a blast to me.
