I Am A Very Lucky Lady!

So this year June, I would have been married for 10 years. I honestly can not believe where the time has gone. It only feels like yesterday that I had the best day of my life when I said the words “I Do“.

On the weekend my amazing husband decided to surprise me that for our 10 year wedding anniversary present he had booked for us both to go on a wonderful trip away on the beautiful Norwegian Jade for a 2 night sailing from Southampton over to Germany (Hamburg) with an extended stay for a further 2 nights in Germany (I am a very lucky lady).

The reason I was told a little earlier than planned was because Jamie (my husband) wanted to choose a hotel in Germany together for our two nights there. If I am honest I was just really excited to matter what hotel we stayed in.

Now that the secret is out.. we couldn’t wait to do some research on the top best things to do in Hamburg!

Church St. Michaelis, Historic Warehouse District adjacent to Hamburg Harbor is the hub of the city and I have to say it looks absolutely stunning. 

The local delicacies in Hamburg is a gourmet fish sandwich, this is one cuisine I know my hubby will not try and he dislikes fish, but I think this will be one that I will certainly have to sample.

For me there is nothing more exciting than an unexpected surprise mini break with your loved one. Its all of those exciting moments afterwords, researching and planning which somehow just adds to the romance. This weekend I have a look at the Norwegian Jades multi-million dollar refurbishments which were carried out in 2017. I have always loved the colours onboard NCL and as this will be my first time travelling with them I can not wait to experience first hand the Norwegian difference.
