I don’t know about you but most people that get to the end of British Summertime get a little reflective and the weather starts to get colder and the inevitable debate occurs about when the heating needs to be turned on.

This can make us long for something to look forward to like booking a new cruise holiday. P&O have come to the rescue with the launch of surly one of the world’s finest ships The P&O Iona is going on sale in September 2018 for their maiden season starting in the Fjords of Norway doing 7 night sailings in Summer of 2020.

I honestly think this will be one of the finest ships at sea and the feature I am most excited about is The Sky Dome. This is not any ordinary solarium P&O have learned over the years that these transformation areas of the ship can double up as amazing evening venues with fantastic natural acoustics for live music.

Sky Dome sits on two decks – deck 16 is where you’ll find the action happening, with food and drink available, as well as a swimming pool, sun loungers and whirlpools.

The designers of the glass dome roof, award-winning British engineers Eckersley O’Callaghan, commented the following:

I think P&O are set for an incredible decade of growth as they are constantly evolving and creating some of the finest looking ships at sea.
