Ritz Carlton Luxury Yachts

Did you know that the 5* Hotel Brand Ritz Carlton Group are now to join the world of cruising?

They are not building Cruise Ships but luxury yachts. The first of which completed her sea trials in Vigo, Northern Spain earlier this week. After a religious and traditional maritime ceremony for the launch, the yacht for the first time touched the water.

The as-yet-unnamed, 298-passenger ship was launched down a slipway into the water at the Barreras Shipyard in Vigo, Spain. The yacht has been under construction at the shipyard since January. She now will undergo months of finishing work before entering service in 2020.

Ritz Carlton official website describes the collection as follows:

Set sail on a journey of discovery with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Designed to combine the luxury lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton® and the casual freedom of a yachting vacation, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer bespoke voyages on the first of three custom-built yachts in 2020. Most voyages range from seven to ten nights, offering many overnight calls and uniquely curated experiences ashore. Each yacht will feature 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and accommodate up to 298 guests in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. As with The Ritz-Carlton® on land, each yacht will feature personalized service, elevated dining and luxury amenities. The yachts are also available for private charter.

The inaugural sailing is to take place in February 2020 from Fort Lauderdale for 10 nights through the Caribbean waters, where she will stay for a couple of months before setting across the Atlantic to spend the first part of summer in the Mediterranean. After which she will popping into London mid-July before hitting the Baltics, across to Iceland and then back across the pond to the east coast of America. The winter seasons for 2020 shows the ship back down in the Caribbean.

Aiming for the higher market of cruisers, the cost will be similar to those of the six-star cruising of Silverseas, Regent, Seabourn and Crystal. Offering luxury suites with personal assistance, fine dining, complimentary drinks and WiFi plus much more.

It certainly does look like a world of luxury and indulgence.

I wonder if you can pay with Ritz Carlton Loyalty rewards?
