Beautiful ship but have you ever wondered what a cruise ship looks like whilst being built. Take a glimpse inside the Royal Princess whilst she was being built in Monfalcone Italy and see the work involved!
I was lucky enough to be invited to Fincantieri in 2013 to see the ship being built in Monfalcone, Italy.
This is the table used by the Fincantieri and Cruise Line officials to sign billion dollar deals! If only this table could talk.
I was chosen to represent the travel industry for the annual cruise Conference and was videoed as we wandered round the ship.
As you can see there was still a lot to do on the main decks before the ship was able to leave port for her maiden voyage and naming ceremony.
Amazing what a difference a pool and a few palm trees can do.
Can you guess what area this is? Thousands of people will use this area daily!
Its the buffet area.
Looks like a space ship!
Can you tell what this is going to be with all those wires hanging out?
Amazing what lighting can do.
No seats yet for Princess Live.
Princess Live finished.
The stunning atrium of the Royal Princess.

So even at this stage items are constantly changed and I felt instrumental in making this one.
Cabins are also built off site and executives stay in them overnight to check that the facilities work although I reckon they would be better asking existing passengers to try these out as I am sure they would come up with some suggestions.
If you want to see more please watch the video I did whilst onboard at the top of the page.
