Royal Caribbean International has announced it will break new ground this summer with an immersive five-day Snapchat experience.
Beginning 21st June, and continuing through to June 25th, the cruise line’s Snap-chat channel will take viewers deep below the ocean’s surface through a custom scuba mask called Sea-seekers that allows users to Snap-chat from underwater.
Users can follow Royal Caribbean’s Snap-chat channel or use the hashtag #SeekDeeper to follow along on other social media channels
There will be three dives that will show what it is like to take an underwater adventure through the eyes of three well-known divers.
“The Sea-seeker will enable all adventure-seekers to get a front-row seat to the thrilling adventures found underwater in a way that has never been possible before,” said Royal Caribbean International’s chief marketing officer and senior vice president of marketing Jim Berra in a statement.
“Snap-chat continues to be a favourite channel for curious travellers and is the ideal platform for this first-of-its-kind undersea exploration.”
Berra said that Royal Caribbean has already applied for a patent in hopes of making the Sea-seekers mask an exclusive offering for its guests.
