Royal Caribbean have launched a “Smart Check-In”.

Customers can take care of all necessary documentation online including uploading your own photo, and receiving digital boarding confirmation.

The all‑new SMART Check‑In system claims you can make it from sidewalk to ship in 10 minutes, with no check‑in counter, no forms to fill out and no lines to wait in.

This sounds fantastic, when you arrive at the port the last thing you want to be in a long queue, and having to wait to be checked in. Some passengers have traveled for hours either by car or coach, and they just want to board and get in there cabin.

By checking in online, you can board at Quantum’s Next Generation Cruise Terminal by simply a “tap” of your bar-code and a swipe of your passport.
