A resort-style port of call being created in Belize by Norwegian Cruise Line is due to open in November.
Harvest Caye will feature on western Caribbean itineraries for Norwegian and sister lines, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, on selected Caribbean sailings. Itinerary Example (below).
The purpose-built island resort will include the country’s only cruise ship pier, a marina, watersports, a seven-acre beach with 11 villas and a swimming pool, bars and restaurants.
The island will also feature a 130-foot tall ‘Flighthouse’ with a 3,000-foot tandem zip line and ropes course.
Norwegian’s president and chief operating officer, Andy Stuart, said: “Belize is one of the most ecologically and culturally rich gems in the Caribbean, and Harvest Caye will be the perfect destination for guests to experience all that the country has to offer in authentic, unique ways.
“There is so much to do on the island from the spectacular seven-acre beach and water-sports to interactive wildlife programmes.
“Beyond Harvest Caye, we will strongly encourage our guests to explore Belize through the spectacular eco-adventure and cultural tours this incredible destination has to offer visitors.”
