On Sunday morning I traveled to Southampton to experience first hand P&O’s brand new ship Britannia.
We arrived around 12:30 pm, and as check-in was not until 1:30, we expected a wait. A wait is what we got, but eventually got on-board around 3 pm. Once on-board we went straight to the cabin, dropped off our luggage and explored the whole ship.
There has been a lot of talk about the Atrium in the center of the ship spanning 3 decks (Decks 5 – 7), as nice as I thought it was, it was built up to much.
Everywhere you went on-board was elegantly designed, British and contemporary.
Deck 7 – This is the I Studio where passengers could watch cookery lessons, films, presentations and more in this state-of-the-art entertainment venue.
Deck 7 – For live entertainment visit The Live Lounge, as Britannia steals the show! Live Lounge is a brand new venue and will showcase a great range of performers including singers, tribute acts, live bands and comedians.
Deck 16 – The Epicurean Restaurant, a beautiful, sophisticated specialty restaurant, great for a special occasion, a cover charge of £28.00 per person applies.
Deck 16 – Britannia would not be complete without Lido & Riviera Pools. There is also Serenity Pool & Bar on Deck 17
Deck 17 – The Retreat, This is my favorite part! Although limited, an exclusive outdoor spa area. Their is only one work to describe this – Luxurious
This is just the start to what was on-board, The Horizon Restaurant, Crows Nest, Cookery Club, Sindhu, The Glass House and more. If you are looking for British, elegance, sophistication then look no further.
As promised you could also be on-board Britannia Click HERE to win a cruise !!
