Royal Caribbean to Base Eight Ships in Europe in 2017

Royal Caribbean International will base eight ships in Europe in 2017, with two ships sailing from Southampton.

Navigator of the Seas and Independence of the Seas will once again sail out of Southampton, the same two ships sailing from the UK this year. The ships will sail to the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands, as well as to Morocco.

Independence of the Seas will also offer a new Northern Europe sailing, including the introduction of Rotterdam.

Jewel of the Seas will sail from Rome on seven and nine-night voyages to Greece and Turkey, as well as seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises visiting Spain and France. The latter will have additional departures in 2017, compared with 2016.

Freedom of the Seas will also sail on seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises, while Brilliance of the Seas will offer a 12-night itinerary. Both ships will sail from Barcelona. Legend of the Seas will sail on six and seven-night cruises from Venice.

Serenade of the Seas and Vision of the Seas will sail in Northern Europe, with the latter offering new sailings from Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, the line has also revealed that Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas will both run new seven-night cruises in Alaska.

A series of early booking incentives have been unveiled to coincide with Royal Caribbean International putting its 2017 European and Alaskan sailings on sale.

The early sales push runs until 2nd May with discounts of between £200 and £1,000 per cabin or suite.
