Thai Trip Continued

So after Bangkok we set off on the overnight train to Chaing Mai. The journey took 15 hours which you would think would be a nightmare but it was great. We travelled first class which cost approx £40 each so had two interconnecting single sleepers. I was really surprised how well kitted out they were with a reclining bed, air con and fold down sink!

Now as travel agents you would think we would have our whole trip planned out exactly but no we are never that organised when it comes to our own holidays and only booked our hotel when we arrived in Chaing Mai.
We checked in to the Chaing Mai Thai house which was a cute boutique style guest house in a great central location.
On our first day I decided it was time to try out the famous Thai massage and treated myself to an afternoon at a spa. I’m so glad I did It was fantastic, after three hours I came out knot free and super relaxed.
Chaing Mai is a beautiful area in Northern Thailand so we decided to make the most of our days there and do lots of activities. We spent a day Swinging like monkeys through the rain forest on zip wires, White water rafting, ATV driving and of course no trip to Thailand would be complete without visiting an Elephant Sanctuary and riding an Elephant.
(Agghhh!!)
(White water rafting)
(To..Maetang Elephant Park)

 To be continued….Next Stop Phuket
