So by the time you read this blog i will be somewhere in Oslo, on the 29th June i set sail on the so called britain’s favourite ship, independence of the seas (or indy as she is sometimes known.) Having never been on independance i’m really looking forward to exploring the ship and seeing first hand why she has become so popular amongst us brits.
Independence of the Seas is the third and final of Royal Caribbean’s ground-breaking Freedom-class ships — once the largest in the world before the launch of Oasis of the Seas and its sister ships. now approaching its 10th year (in 2018), let’s hope the ship is still looking good and not too tired, it has been revitalised over the years so i’m not too worried
Sailing with a 5 year old will probably mean much of the time will be spent around the Pool area and in particular the kidz fun zone (The photos have had Ava’s seal of approval so far)
Not only is the ship a new one for us but also the itinerary, one i have to admit i am a little apprehensive about, generally i like to cruise in warmer climates so this for me is going to be a whole new experience i just hope the rain stays away for us to enjoy the ports and spend the time around the pool.
On the Sailing we will be visiting Stavanger, Kristiansand, oslo, copenhagen and skagen all apparently stunning ports with plenty to do. if any of you have any recommendations of things i shouldn’t miss it would be great to here your suggestions.
So for now that’s me, ill report back if i’m in agreement with the majority on Britain’s favourite ship and hopefully with a bit of a tan!
