X factor Winner Sam Bailey Returns To Cruise Ship Singing

That’s right!

As if there was any doubt about it (it’s just official now); cruise ship entertainment is now just as good as chart topper Leona Lewis and better than One Direction, Olly Murs and JLS!

Sam Bailey, winner of the X-factor 2013 heads back to her roots as she performs on Saga cruises!

For those that don’t know the 37-year-old mum-of-three is a former cruise ship performer who moved on to a career as a police officer before returning to doing what she liked best- singing when she auditioned for (and won) The X-factor.

Fourteen months after winning the show, Sam Bailey confirmed that she was dropped by Simon Cowell’s record label Syco. She stated “I have had an amazing year with Syco and I am very grateful for them helping me gain a number one album and single”.

Rumours in the media as to why she was dropped by the label focused on her pregnancy with her third child, announced on New Year’s Eve of 2013. She hit back at critics who claimed the pregnancy had ruined her career and said: “People have been cruel and said it’s the end of my career but I don’t care what they think. It will just make me want it more to be able to provide for my kids. I couldn’t be happier. My kids are more important than my career anyway.”

Sam had sung on cruise ships many years ago and this summer she embarks on a new adventure as she sails to the Baltic and performs to a wide audience.

She said:  “I love visiting new places so when a ship docks I am always quick to get into town, to see the sights and do some shopping. This will be so good.
