Freshwater lagoons, an adults-only private club and exhilarating water slides are just some of the fantastic features that will be available for guests at Carnival’s new private retreat, Celebration Key.
The made-for-fun, and families, cruise line has released all the juicy details about Celebration Key, due to open in 2025, an exclusive Carnival destination in Grand Bahama.
“No one does FUN like Carnival and we are designing Celebration Key, and its five portals, with endless ways for our guests to unlock their own kind of fun in this incredible paradise that also celebrates the beauty of Grand Bahama. Celebration Key is uniquely positioned to bring an island experience to our diverse range of guests, in a way that lets them choose their slice of ‘paradise.'”
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Celebration Key will feature five ‘portals’ for guests to explore. The first is the Welcome Portal, a larger-than-life area brimming with live music and a ginormous sandcastle!
Big and little kids can get stuck into all sorts of activities at the Family-Friendly Portal, home to a freshwater lagoon, splash pad, shallow pool, two waterslides, sports courts and so much more! Guests can also rent cabanas and villas, and grab a bite to eat at different food vendors on site too.
Those looking to get away from the kids can indulge at the Adult-Friendly Portal, which also features a freshwater lagoon, an excellent beach, cabanas, villas, eateries, a resident DJ and a swim-up bar. For a more premium experience, Carnival Key will have its own private club, adults-only, portal with its own infinity pool, premier beach access and elevated dining spots.
Retail-therapy seekers can get their fix at the Retail Portal, a complex with an array of shops showcasing Bahamian culture, duty-free stores and murals painted by local artists. Alongside the themed portals, Celebration Key will also have its own events pavilion dedicated to hosting special celebrations and events, including weddings and vow renewals!
More details on future development and expansion, plus information on the island’s waterpark and zipline course, will be revealed by Carnival very soon.
