Three Queens Meet in Southampton

Celebrations have begun for Cunard’s 175th anniversary as the three sister ships sailed together from Southampton.

The Queen Mary 2 led the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria down Southampton Water and into the Solent.

The Commodore of the fleet Christopher Rynd said: “It is wonderful to be back in our homeport of Southampton.  All three Queens have just completed their World Cruises and now we are sailing out in procession, into the Solent.  What a glorious way to start our 175 anniversary celebrations.”

Later this month the three ships will meet up again as they return to Liverpool for a weekend of celebrations to mark Cunard’s links with the city.

The event is expected to attract thousands of people. Some of our consultants are also in attendance – and they will keep you posted on news from the event!
