See The Northern Lights From Inside A Glass Igloo

With Christmas fast approaching the www.CRUISE.co.uk team are feeling rather festive and whenever that happens our thoughts always seem to turn to mulled wine, brandy, eggnog (Editor’s Note: hmmm bit of a theme there!), Christmas carols, good cheer and snow.

Lots and lots of snow…

And then maybe just a bit more… (Especially if we’ve got lots of mulled wine to keep us warm!)

The problem is that we just never get that much snow over here in the UK; it’s not like the snow we remember getting as kids at all! And let’s face it, it’s just not very Christmassy without snow is it?

Whether you’re looking for something extra special at Christmas or just really want to be surrounded by snow when you see the Northern lights then a company over in Lapland may have the answer for you…

Kakslauttanen (don’t worry, we can’t pronounce it either) are an Arctic resort actually located 250 kilometers past the Arctic Circle! Whilst they offer a variety of holidays (please note: sun worshipers need not apply!) what really caught our attention were their glass igloos!

Yes you read that right… Glass igloos!

Can you imagine laying back in your heated, glass igloo and looking up at the Northern Lights?

It looks magical doesn’t it?

The two person igloos all include a toilet and the option of an extra bed…

Whilst the four person igloos also include their own toilet and shower.

They’re available right through the Northern Light season; which typicaly start’s towards the end of August and runs right through to the following April.

In fact…

The only downside the www.CRUISE.co.uk team can see would be having to leave your warm, cosy igloo for the on-sight saunas, showers or restaurant!

What do you think? Are the Northern Lights on your bucket list?

Would you fancy seeing them in one of these?
