Rub Royal Caribbean’s Genie To Get Your Wish!

Royal Caribbean are upgrading their suite class and have launched a brand new service to make cruising even better.

There are now three distinct classes of suite called Star, Sky and Sea class, and they come with a Genie. That’s right – a Genie!

This “Royal Genie” will be a member of staff that caters to almost every need with the attitude that “your wish is my command…”

But what exactly does this Genie do for guests?

They will essentially act as a butler, a concierge and a personal assistant all in one. They can bring you items such as deodorant or mouthwash if you have forgotten them, they can make you dinner reservations and plan your shore excursions, they can print off tickets for you and they’ll even give you a customised welcome gift upon arrival.

A genie can iron your clothes, pack for you, deliver a surprise birthday cake, shine your shoes, recommend and order souvenirs as well as upgrading your bathroom amenities. A genie could reserve the sun lounger you want, arrange and deliver your morning mimosa and manage your calendar.

They will even give you an iPad or phone so that you can contact your genie 24/7, with no extra cost to yourself.

After you return home from your holiday you’ll also receive a personal hand written note from your Genie.

Your Genie will have been trained as a Butler and been certified by the British Butler Institute.

So who will get to use this Royal Genie? Well, it will be the lucky few that stay in Star Class suites, which includes guests in Royal Loft Suites, Owner’s Lofts, Four Bedroom Family Suites, Grand Lofts, Sky Loft Suites and Two-Bedroom Aqua Theatre Suites on Oasis and Quantum Class ships.

As well as this, Sky and Star Class passengers will have exclusive access to a private sundeck and VIP seating at theatre shows and private access to entertainment such as the RipCord iFly and North Star. There will also be varying free internet access included and spa passes for suite class guests.

Other changes that have come to the suite class is that Sea Class suite members (essentially those staying in Junior Suites) may now dine in the “suite guests only” restaurant for dinner.

If you had a genie, what would you ask for? Would you want him to bring you never ending plates from the buffet – or would you go all out and ask for a private performance from the ships band, to have a pool table delivered to your suite or a personal comedian to entertain you?

What crazy commands would you like he or she to fulfil? Let us know in the comments below!
