Royal Caribbean Ditches Dynamic Dining

Oasis-class ships will no longer be receiving Royal Caribbean’s new Dynamic Dining, the line has confirmed.

Royal Caribbean has previously announced that their Dynamic Dining was to be rolled out across the entire line, but after a few hitches and delays it has now been confirmed that Oasis-class ships will not be receiving Dynamic Dining whatsoever, while some other ships have adopted a “Rotational Dining” program, which more closely resembles traditional cruise ship dining.

A Royal Caribbean statement read; “The revolutionary Dynamic Dining concept was created for Royal Caribbean International’s newest and most technologically advanced Quantum-class ships. It has been decided not to introduce the Dynamic Dining concept to the rest of the fleet, which was not specifically designed to support it, although previously announced for Oasis Class ships.”

Guests who are booked onto Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas or Harmony of the Seas will select from two seating times in either the main dining room or My Time Dining.

Guests who have already booked aboard Harmony of the Seas and have pre-selected the Dynamic Dining Classic option will be assigned to either early of late seating to match their original choice of time.

All dining reservations for guests will be converted by the end of this month.

Royal Caribbean’s Dynamic Dining plans have gone through some changes since their inception, with Dynamic Dining Classic and the continued use of My Time Dining aboard some ships, but this gives guests more options. More traditional guests will likely be pleased by the classic My Time Dining, while the more flexible guests will likely choose a ship which includes the new Dynamic Dining in all its glory.
