How To Cruise With Stubborn Teens With Ease

Teens are notorious for being hard to please (no offence guys). They hit a certain age and suddenly everything becomes ‘boring’ and ‘lame’. Family holidays become harder to plan as your awkward offspring become less and less willing to follow your itinerary and more set on doing their own thing (let’s admit we all got to that stage at some point)– but mention a ‘kids’ club’ and prepare for a potential tut or eye roll in response. The good news is that, with the right ship, a cruise holiday can get a rather cool thumbs up from even the most...

Cunard have long held the title of the grandest ships at sea, and what could be more luxurious than a complete luxury refurb? The Cruise Community Has Spoken

You may not have heard but the www.CRUISE.co.uk team were very pleased last year to have once again been named the World’s Leading Cruise Community (as well as the World’s Leading Cruise Travel Agent of course!). December marked the sixth time that we’d been awarded the prestigious title in the World Travel Awards and we couldn’t be prouder of that fact. However, we obviously couldn’t have done it without you! Therefore we decided to put together the www.CRUISE.co.uk Cruise Community Awards to truly honour our community of dedicated cruisers. We knew there was already a lot of cruise awards out there but we...

The second instalment (which you can read about here) showed you the beauty of mainland China as you visited the Nine Village’s Valley, viewed scenic lakes, waterfalls and mountains, trekked along the Great Wall and saw some of the most impressive feats of Chinese engineering. But there’s still one more instalment of the tour left to go…     Day 15 – Beijing On part two of your tour you visited Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace but there is still so much more to see in this vast, fast paced metropolis. On your return to Beijing, why not go to a local tea ceremony and try all the different local varieties as a local explains to you how and where the varieties are grown. If you fancy some food, why not dine at a traditional Beijing noodle house afterwards? Top Tip:...

Silversea’s Silver Cloud: See What Six Star Luxury Really Looks Like

The www.CRUISE.co.uk team were lucky enough to be invited to take a tour of Silversea’s Silver Cloud in London recently whilst she was docked on the Thames. We got to have a good look around so we could let you know exactly what it’s like to be on-board a 6 star luxury cruise ship and what you can expect from the Silver Cloud in particular… First of all, here’s a bit of basic information about the ship…   But what does she actually look like? Well check out the below…   The Rooms A great thing about this ship was the sheer amount of space. There are no inside cabins on-board Silver Cloud and 85% of suites have a balcony. Despite being able to legally hold 600 passengers (due to the size of the ship) the ship only accommodates 296 passengers, giving them one of the best passenger space ratios at sea! The largest suites, (the owner’s suites) act as an apartment on the ship, offering a whopping 587 to 827 square feet of space! There’s also two wheelchair accessible cabins available for those that need them and it’s worth remembering all that rooms start at suite level, beginning with a Vista Suite, meaning that everyone experiences a true luxury cruise on-board. We don’t know about you, but we’d quite like to travel in this much style…   The Facilities...
