It has sailed as Swan Hellenic’s Minerva II, Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess, and most recently P&O Cruises’ Adonia. This Cruise Ship Is About To Get Very Involved In Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics…

One of the largest travel agents in Japan, JTB Corporation, is chartering Sun Princess to be used as a floating hotel during the 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games. In the port of Yokohama, the Princess vessel will be berthed at Yamashita pier from July 23rd to August 10th 2020. Real estate analysts predict a shortage of about 3,500 hotel rooms by the time the Olympics take place. The arrangement for the 2,000-guest vessel to act as a floating hotel will “help ease a shortage of accommodations during the Olympics,” JTB President Hiroyuki Takahashi said. Disney To Ban Kids Onboard This Ship With Another Surprising Announcement

Disney Cruise Line has just revealed that its 2,500-passenger ship, Disney Magic, will undergo re-designed areas and new theming. The vessel will go into dry dock early next year and will emerge in March with an adults-only café, transformed teen club, and a new family dining venue.
