Have you ever wondered what a cruise on-board a luxury ship would be like? Well now you can find out!
Azamara Cruises are set to star in a new TV series about their ships.
The new television programme is called “Cruise Ship Adventures” and is presented by wildlife enthusiast Nigel Marven.
The show begins tonight and is the first in a six part series following Nigel’s voyages to see animals around the world.
Tonight’s episode will include Nigel’s journey from Buenos Aires to Antarctica as he watches humpback whales from the ship and visits baby penguins ashore.
He’ll also visit the Caribbean to find sperm whales and Necker Island (which is Richard Branson’s private island!) to find rare iguanas.
Other regions that’ll be explored in the series include the Mediterranean, Central America, Scandinavia and India.
If you’d like to watch the show then tune in to UKTV’s Watch channel at 8pm tonight (which is channel 109 on Sky, 407 on BT or channel 124 on Virgin Media.)
The cruise industry wasn’t too happy with ITV’s depiction of Princess cruises last year (as we reported here!) Will this new programme give cruising the positive TV exposure that it deserves? Only time will tell!
Will you be watching the show? Do you think more programmes should be made about cruising? Let us know in the comments below.
