Luxury cruise line Oceania Cruises has unveiled details of new, more relaxed, dining choices now being served onboard its fleet of eight small, yet elegant, cruise ships.
The new initiative is aptly named ‘Relaxed Yet Refined’, and is part of the cruise line’s ethos to serve The Finest Cuisine At Sea – whether in their gourmet onboard restaurants or via immersive, tailored foodie-focused excursions. As part of the new set of tasty offerings, new sushi and Indian cuisine stations will be available at Terrace Cafe, plus a revamped poolside lunch menu at the chic Waves Grill.
The sushi station, Oceania Cruises has said, boasts 45 dishes, including sashimi, uramaki, and nigiri, among other tasty morsels, designed by the cruise line’s very own Executive Culinary Directors and chefs Alex Quaretti and Eric Barale, and the Indian Corner serves 15 unbelievably delicious recipes, including authentic Butter Chicken and Dhal.
Waves Grill’s new poolside lunch menu has more than 20 tasty dishes to choose from, including a signature Surf & Turf Wagyu steak burger, and a Philly cheesesteak hot sandwich, complete with sirloin steak and provolone cheese.
“Food is the foundation of what we do on board each of our ships, and globally, in the destinations we visit. We are renowned for serving The Finest Cuisine at Sea, as it is at the very core of our business.
This does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants – finest does not always mean the fanciest. It’s also a perfectly prepared pizza or an enticing burrata dish enjoyed al fresco with a crisp glass of white wine as you set sail.”
Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises
Alongside the fresh, relaxed options, guests onboard Oceania Cruises can continue to enjoy the cruise line’s array of impressive food and drink-themed activities and venues, including cookery schools onboard Vista & Allura and specially curated Culinary Discovery Tours.
