Norwegian Cruise Line Announces New Caribbean Cruises

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed a brand-new host of Caribbean cruises from New Orleans and Port Canaveral this autumn.

Beginning in October 2024, Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic will be sailing a range of new Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Norwegian Getaway will sail from New Orleans from 20th October 2024, while Norwegian Epic will offer roundtrip voyages from Port Canaveral, Florida from 30th October 2024.

Following a summer season of Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, the ships’ new autumn sailings will offer guests more opportunities to island hop, plus to explore crystal-clear waters and sunny skies across the Caribbean-, including Norwegian Cruise Line’s private destinations: Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas; and Harvest Caye in Belize.

As the second ship in the Breakaway Class, Norwegian Getaway boasts 40 restaurants, bars and lounges; the Waterfront, a wrap-around walkaway with sweeping ocean views; the Mandara Spa and Salon; a range of spacious accommodations; and world-class entertainment. The ship also features thrilling top-deck activities for the whole family, including a sports complex, open-air ropes course, and the Aqua Park with five multi-story waterslides, two pools, four hot tubs and two drop slides.

Norwegian Epic is one of the largest ships in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet. Features onboard include 19 bars and lounges; 15 complimentary and speciality restaurants; an expansive Mandara Spa; the adults-only oasis, Posh Beach Club; plus the Aqua Park complete with two pools, five hot tubs, three multi-story water slides, and a kid’s pool. Additionally, as the first ship to debut The Haven by Norwegian® (with revolutionary Studio staterooms and the luxury enclave), Norwegian Epic also boasts a variety of accommodations, along with show-stopping entertainment every night.

“The Caribbean continues to be a hotspot for our guests all around the world, especially during the fall and winter seasons. We are constantly looking to provide our guests with the best vacation possible especially from accessible homeports, and it was a no-brainer to bring two of our largest ships to sail more picturesque, tropical cruises from New Orleans and Port Canaveral, Florida.”

David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic‘s Caribbean sailings can also be booked with the Norwegian Cruise Line’s ‘Free at Sea’ package, providing guests with complimentary amenities including unlimited open bar; free WiFi; speciality dining and shore excursion credits; and free airfare for the second guest on select cruises.
