It has just been revealed that Marco Pierre White is the new patron of P&O’s Cookery Club on board Britannia, the hands-on cooking school at sea.
The godfather of British cooking, known all over the world, will bring his flair for fantastic food to a whole range of activities.
He became the youngest ever chef to be awarded three Michelin stars in the 1990s and and has been pushing the boundaries of cuisine for over 30 years.
Guests will be able to learn first-hand from Marco himself through his hosted masterclasses and dinners when he travels on board P&O.
Those with less experience will gain skills and confidence cooking, whilst those who are already keen cooks will be helped to further enhance their skills, at state-of-the-art, fully-equipped workstations.
Marco’s Hosted Masterclasses and Marco’s Hosted Dinners
This option includes masterclasses and dinners where Marco is travelling and are therefore hosted personally by him!
His masterclass is two hours long where he will be your guide as you learn to cook restaurant-quality food; you’ll be trying them out firsthand, overseen by Marco himself.
You’ll be perfecting the art of risotto making with risotto of porchini with a fricassée of woodland mushroom, and risotto of seafood with fresh rosemary, basil and cherry tomatoes.
Marco’s hosted dinner means your meal will be cooked by the legend himself right in front of your eyes. Following this, you’ll enjoy the three courses over wine and chit chat!

The Cookery Club’s skills will be literally laid out on the table in front of you after you’ve watched their tricks unfold during the cooking process. Enjoy the meal with good wine and lively conversation afterwards.

Guests must advise P&O of any dietary requirements once on board via the booking line.
Guests should book as early as possible due to the popularity of the class! Each class caters for 24 guests where everybody works in pairs.
Individuals are still encouraged to arrive alone as you will always find a partner. And one of the best parts is that, the preparation and washing up is already done for you!
